Envipco Expands Its Presence in The Netherlands
Winschoten – On October 18th, 2024,  Envipco proudly celebrated the official opening of the first XL-size  Quantum  Bulk RVM in the Netherlands. The new machine, located at  Vermeulen Steen en Hout  in Winschoten, is the second Quantum Bulk RVM in the country. This Quantum XL Bulk feed technology allows consumers to empty full bags of PET bottles and cans at once. This customized Quantum XL bulk RVM also has a glass cabinet and back-door emptying system, making the process faster and more efficient.

A Community Celebration
The event garnered significant local attention, with representatives from the local press attending, as well as Winschoten’s alderman, Jurrie Nieboer. In his remarks, alderman Nieboer praised the installation, stating:

“This machine supports our vision of creating a cleaner world for future generations.”

Changing the Recycling Landscape in the Netherlands
Envipco, in partnership with  Statiegeld Nederland, aims to revolutionize the recycling landscape across the Netherlands. With more Quantum Bulk RVMs being installed, Dutch consumers will find it easier and more convenient to recycle PET bottles and cans. No more long lines at the supermarket — now, consumers can simply drive to a Quantum machine, empty their bags, and let the machine quickly and automatically sort the plastic bottles and cans. It’s a fast, easy, and mess-free experience. Additionally, users can choose to receive their deposit directly into their bank accounts or donate to a local organization.

“This installation is a testament to Envipco's commitment to innovation and sustainability, making recycling easier for consumers in The Netherlands and across the world.”

Charlene van Domburg Scipio, Relationship Manager at Statiegeld Nederland, highlighted the great collaboration with Envipco:
“Statiegeld Nederland’s goal is to install more bulk RVMs in the Netherlands in the coming months. Installations like this are a great benefit for consumers with large quantities of PET bottles and cans, and we are very happy to work with Envipco to make this happen.”

RTV Noord has published this remarkable project and interviewed the owner, Dennis Vermeulen, to share his experiences.

Payout and Donation Options
In addition to simplifying the recycling process, the Quantum XL offers flexible payout options, supported by partners like Tikkie and Statiegeld Nederland.

As Denise Michels, Sales & business development manager at Tikkie, explained: “Tikkie makes it easy for consumers to get their deposit refunds. If you don’t have the Tikkie app on your phone,  you can print a voucher and redeem it later. Alternatively, you can enter your IBAN and get the refund directly into your EU bank account — even if it’s not a Dutch account. Being located near the German border, this feature is especially convenient for cross-border consumers.”

With TIkkie, getting your deposit back is as simple as 1, 2, 3!

Moreover, the Quantum XL also provides an option to donate refunds to local causes, such as the  Voedselbank, a food bank that supports families in need. The Voedselbank team shared their excitement:
“We are thrilled to be one of the donation options in the Quantum Bulk RVM in Winschoten. The funds raised will help us support local families with essential groceries.”
