The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with the ability to field incoming calls from customers and coordinate work with service personnel. Electronics Engineer

The Envipco Engineering department is looking to fill an Electronics Engineer position in our Naugatuck, CT location.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of microcontroller hardware and firmware for Reverse Vending Machines (Keywords: automation, time critical communication and control of sensors and actuators)
  • Testing and validation of hardware and firmware
  • Development of new functions and support of existing microcontroller electronics and firmware
  • Close collaboration with engineering team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electronic/electrical engineering or computer engineering with a knowledge of automation technology
  • At least 10 years’ experience with designing microcontroller boards and programming firmware for embedded systems, based on 8-bit microcontroller in C/C++. Ideally with the Atmel MEGA and XMEGA family and the Atmel Studio. Main strength may be either on the firmware or the electronics side
  • Good experience in testing the hardware of embedded systems
  • Good experience with in using serial interfaces like UART, I2C, RS485
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Motivated independent and structured way of working
  • Very good language skills in English
  • The ideal candidate for this position has excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, is comfortable communicating with internal and external customers and vendors, is self-motivated and possesses good interpersonal team skills

Mechatronics Engineer

Envipco is the Innovator of the Reverse Vending Industry primarily serving markets in North America and Europe. To further strengthen our Engineering activities, we're looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with focus on a variation of modern manufacturing processes and a drive for technology innovation.

This position will perform all aspects of mechanical engineering and design from the initial feasibility stage to manufacturing release for next generation of Reverse Vending Machines and will be responsible for development efforts including planning, scheduling, and documentation required as well as architecting, implementing and testing of the design.

Responsibilities:
  • Create mechanical design documents and models for parts, assemblies or finished products using computer-aided design programs
  • Research, develop and implement technologies, methods and techniques into manufacturing
  • Provide direction for process development
  • Coordinates change requests based on manufacturing issues
  • Lead DFM activities
  • Design jigs, guards, and fixtures to aid assembly processes
  • Provide consultation to other teams
  • Resolve problems in manufacturing
  • Actively maintain knowledge of new technologies, methods and techniques
  • Lead projects
  • Actively support and participate in continuous improvement projects

Repair - Refurbishment Manager

This Manager will oversee the Repair and Refurbishment departments, and all of its support functions for Envipco’s U.S. operations located in Naugatuck, CT. Will be responsible for supplying all of Envipco’s satellite service operations with quality repaired equipment. This position will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, help develop and execute plans to ensure team success, and strive to have a positive impact on both the Envipco team and all outside customers. Refurbishment of returned leased machines back to established standards, to be sent back out to field on new lease contracts.

Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to successfully lead a small dynamic team, and have the capacity to grow and drive that team as the company expands.
  • Must have good understanding of basic mechanical, and electromechanical fundamentals.
  • Consistently and aggressively track workloads and performance to assure quality standards. monitor part usages and inventory levels, and assure accuracy.
  • Produce Monthly Reports to senior management, on quantity and quality benchmarks.
  • Troubleshoot recurring problems and implement quality check to assure correction.
  • Assure all Labor and Inventory transactions are recorded properly and closed out for month end
  • Ability to sponsor and lead change to improve workflow and quality.
  • Ability to develop a team atmosphere, and set and maintain goals.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage department within established guidelines.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with department staff along with senior management.

Final Assembly Inspector/Tester

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Final Assembly Inspector will conduct quality checks of the completed New “Reverse Vending Machines (RVM). The Inspector will also assist in the RVM production line as required. Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Help find ways to improve quality, and provide premier customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Quality Control checks on all New Reverse Vending Machines produced.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible enough to deal with directional shifts with production schedules.
  • Must be able to assemble and test mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Maintain an open line of constant communication with the Quality Supervisor and when necessary, facilitate correction of failed Quality checks with Production department.
  • Ensure that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and that the area is compliant with all safety requirements.
  • Always be prepared for a shift in direction as dictated by new machine orders and new product lines.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be detail orientated and a self starter.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required, completed college coursework a plus.
  • Computer literate with basic understandings of Microsoft Office.
  • Hungry for challenge, knowledge, and growth.
  • Aptitude and drive to achieve results both independently and in a group.

Assembly Technician

New Production Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembling of mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Responsible for meeting the daily production goals, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lean work cells. Hours will be from 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Some Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Reports to: Supervisor, New Production

  • Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible enough to deal with directional shifts with production schedules.

  • Ensure that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and that the area is compliant with all safety requirements.
  • Perform Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to Read/Speak and understand English.
  • Requires mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mechanical and electro-mechanical principles and procedures.
  • Ability to follow mechanical drawings and other written work documentation.
  • Previous experience working In lean production environment desired, but not required.
  • Aptitude and drive to achieve results both independently and in a group.
  • Ability to take direction, responsibility.
  • Ability to lift and move Components and Parts weighing up to 50lbs.
